Archard, Cary
Cary Archard was born in south Wales, close to Aberdare, Alun Lewis's home town. The editor of Poetry Wales from 1980-86, and founder of Poetry Wales Press, he is the general editor of the uniform edition of Alun Lewis's works. Until recently he taught English and Philosophy in Bridgend.
Aspden, Bryan
Bryan Aspden (1933-1998) was born in Blackburn but lived for many years in Conwy where he worked in local government and learned Welsh. The author of two collections of poetry his first, News of the Changes (1984) was the winner of the Welsh Arts Councils first New Poets Competition.
Atkinson, Tiffany
Tiffany Atkinson was born in Berlin in 1972 to an army family, and lived in Germany, Cyprus and Britain. After studying English at Birmingham University she took a PhD in Critical Theory at Cardiff, and has lived in Wales since. She lectures in English at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where she also co-hosts a weekly poems and-pints event. Her poetry has appeared widely in magazines and she won the Cardiff International Poetry Competition in 2001.

Bala, Iwan
Artist, writer, theorist, Iwan Bala is a positive and dynamic figure in Welsh culture. He has exhibited internationally, been involved in numerous cross-media collaborations and is a founder member of The Artists' Project/Prosiect Artistiaid.
Barker, Jonathan
Johnathan Barker works at The British Council in London. His edition of the Selected Poems of W.H. Davies was published by Oxford University press in 1985, and he edited the Poetry Book Society Anthology 1986/1987 for Hutchinson in 1986.
Barnie, John
John Barnie was born and raised in the market town of Abergavenny. He has published work in a wide variety of journals and anthologies and has won a Welsh Arts Council Prize for literature. He has toured throughout the UK and abroad, reading his poems and playing guitar in a number of blues and poetry bands. He currently lives in Aberystwyth where he edits the influential cultural magazine, ’Planet: The Welsh Internationalist".
Bax, Martin
Martin Bax is a world-renowned Consultant Paediatrician, and Editor of the long-running literary journal Ambit. He lives in London and the Welsh Marches.
Beagan, Glenda
Glenda Beagan lives in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire. She was educated at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and at the University of Lancaster. She has published two collections of stories, The Medlar Tree and Changes and Dreams, and a collection of poetry, Vixen (Honno, 1996).
Bentley, Barbara
Barbara Bentley lives with her family in Croft, Cheshire. Her prize-winning poetry has been published in a number of journals and anthologies. She has recently completed an M.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Glamorgan while continuing to work as a full-time lecturer in Leigh, Lancashire.
