An interview with Patrick Hannan, author of A Useful Fiction: Adventures in British Democracy, is live on the BBC News website. In the book, Hannan says the MPs' expenses furore is the biggest political scandal he has seen. The winner of the Poetry Wales/Purple Moose Poetry Prize will be announced soon. We had a huge number of entries, and the judges have been delighted by the high quality of the poems, though this will make the final decision all the more challenging.
